Re: Service Master Classification in create mode in AC01 not allowed

It depends on the transaction design, if you create a new service master then the service master number appears as %_1 which will be translated into the correct service master number while saving.

In the material master you directly have the new number when accessing the basic data screen in MM01.

So it is possible to add classification in the create process for materials since the number for which the classification has to to added is known already while it is not known in case of service masters, and it might have been to complicated for your colleagues to make it happen.You should be in the best position to ask the developers, you are are closer to them than any stranger here, isn't it.
