conversion of excel file in xml format, modify it and mail it as an attachment.

Hi Team,

Let me explain first the current scenerio.

Presently a program reads an excel file with ten tabs and data formatting in individual tabs from a network location (not from app server) and copies the template in a new excel file using OLE2 technology.

Then it opens the file in foreground, adds data in specified cells. The user then saves the excel file and mails it to the customer.

Now what they want is to mail it to customer without having someone doing it manually.

This is what I am planning to do .

1. Read the excel file template from network location as per current process.

2. Convert the same into xml format.

3. Populate with values from SAP.

4. Mail it to the customer.

Can some one guide especially with step two and three? In case it is not possible you can suggest an workaround.
