Would not make much sense to me if you don't get what is in the database just because it is older, especially if SAP offers a free date selection.

But you can compare yourself if you get the older items in SWI1 transaction.

If not then check in transaction SARA object WORKITEM if your basis team does regular workitem archiving. For this click in SARA the Administration button
