I'm not very familiar with Portal or Http things, but I think at least I should be able to ping the target right? But when I ping p108024 (in CMD Windows), it said host not found.

Do I need to config something on my computer if I want to use portal correctly? I think it should be just like SAPGUI which is already configured correctly by SAP IT. Shouldn't all portal things are configured on the Server and I just need Browser and updated JAVA on my laptop?
