Re: Crystal Report takes forever to run in PRODUCTION

There are a number of things that can affect the speed with which a report runs on the BI Platform.

First I would take a look at what other Crystal reports are running in the same timeframe as this one - it could be that there is some competition for resources.  If this is the case, you'll want to reschedule things to avoid that.

I would also look to see what's happening in the database at the time the report is running - if the db is being backed up, that might be causing the slow-down.  When you ran the copy in QA, did you do it during the same timeframe as the report normally runs?  If not, then, if possible, I would pause the report in Production and try to run it in QA at the time the prod report runs.  If it is significantly slower, then this is your issue, if it's not, then probably there are other reports competing for the same resources.
