Also in the past, the BTF Editor (UI Tag "BTF")  has been used as IC Mail Editor (since CRM 2007). To use the parameters I have mentioned, just see prerequisites from SAP Note 1921115. You do not need to switch to the new editor to use these parameters.

Some additional information for clarification: with SAP Improvement Notes 2116845 a new editor - often called Rich Text Editor has been introduced. Although it introduces a new UI Tag rteMCE, it is not directly included in the mail view CRMCMP_CCS_EML/MailBody. Here you still find the UI Tag BTF.

Nevertheless, if you activate the business function, then a delegation takes place on the WebUI layer. Instead of the used UI Tag BTF, the new UI tag rteMCE is used.

Both editors are part of BSP Extension THTMLBX.
