Hi,

If you have to change the functional area and postings already exist, you can change the error message from work area FH with number 600 to a warning message and then change the functional area. You do this in Customizing for Financial Accounting (New) under Financial Accounting Global Settings (New)® Tools ® Change Message Control. You then have to transfer existing postings manually.
