Re: HANA Merge and Optimize Compression process

  May be you faced the problem and can explain behavior:

We deleted 40 millions records from our table, but auto Delta Merge process showed only 27 millions records merged.

  I found note 2112604 - FAQ: SAP HANA Compression which describe this, but

A merge can only remove invisible records at the end of the table... .

...

Can you or anybody, explain this more clear. Why only end table taken into account?
